Project Summary

Divekick is proof that an inside joke can grow into a game that people come to love. The original idea was to make light of how powerful divekick techniques in fighting games had been throughout the history of the genre. The question "What if we made a game where the only buttons were Dive and Kick?" turned into an indie project by creator Adam Heart to create a novel attraction at Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8. Once players got their hands on it, the competition got serious and the requests for a full commercial release began to take root. Iron Galaxy acquired the indie game and began a larger development cycle to realize this deconstruction of the core concept as a two-button game that anyone can enjoy.
