In 2014, Microsoft decided to bring on a new partner to continue development on Killer Instinct for the Xbox One. With a reputation in the industry as one of the best designers of fighting games, and our love for the iconic Killer Instinct property, Iron Galaxy was selected to work on this title. Taking over from the talented developers at Double Helix, we began work on Seasons 2 and Season 3. Microsoft continued driving the narrative and lore aspects of the game while we focused on designing fun and balanced characters, complete with top-notch artwork. Our development team has a lot of experience playing fighting games on a high level, and that experience helped us focus on what makes great fighting games feel balanced and fair.
